Malvin Johnson, 58, of Dumfries VA, turned himself in to police on August 19 following an outstanding warrant related to a domestic abduction incident.
The event occurred on July 8 when officers were called to a residence on Belleplain Court. According to investigators, Johnson and a 60-year-old female family member became engaged in a verbal dispute that turned physical. Johnson allegedly struck the victim with a kitchen utensil and prevented her from leaving the home before departing the scene himself. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Johnson was charged with abduction and domestic assault & battery. He was released on a $2,500 secured bond.
