Authorities are investigating a shooting reported on the evening of November 11 in the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Circle. A 28-year-old woman was reportedly shot while in the company of a male acquaintance. The pair later sought medical attention at a nearby hospital for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries, prompting the hospital to notify police.
Officers responded to the alleged scene but found no physical evidence of a shooting. Inconsistencies in the accounts given by those involved have raised questions about the circumstances. Investigators currently do not believe this was a random act of violence.
