A man accused of a felony hit and run in Woodbridge earlier this month has been arrested in Georgia.
Timothy Damon Rutherford, 18, was wanted for hitting an occupied police vehicle with a stolen car before fleeing the scene. The incident happened on February 2 in the 1400 block of Admiral Drive. Rutherford was also charged with grand larceny, obstruction of justice, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Two juvenile females fled from the vehicle but were later detained and released to their guardians.
Authorities in Bulloch County, Georgia, apprehended Rutherford on February 27. He is awaiting extradition to Prince William County.
