A domestic assault investigation escalated into a multi-jurisdictional pursuit when Carlos Alberto Gomez-Lozano, 22, of Woodbridge, fled from police. The chase involved multiple agencies and ended after the vehicle was immobilized by Virginia State Police. Gomez-Lozano attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. A 21-year-old female victim in the vehicle was found to have suffered multiple assaults and was taken to a hospital. Gomez-Lozano faces numerous charges including malicious wounding, abduction, and felony eluding.
