Davonte Andrew Fonville, 33, of Upper Marlboro, was arrested in Washington, D.C., on February 3 in connection to a shooting that occurred in Manassas during a reported drug transaction. A verbal argument between Fonville and a 39-year-old woman turned violent when Fonville allegedly shot her in the leg after she exited his vehicle.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and Fonville has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in a felony, shooting in public to cause injury, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
