Officers with the Prince William County Police Department responded to a residence in the 12300 block of Manchester Way in Woodbridge on February 19 following reports of shots fired.
According to police, the investigation revealed that a neighbor, later identified as the accused, was handling a firearm when it discharged. The round traveled into a neighboring residence. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no additional property damage was noted.
The accused was identified as 32-year-old Diavonte Dejean BARLOW of Woodbridge. He was charged with reckless handling of a firearm.
BARLOW was released on a court summons. A court date is currently pending.
