Prince William County Police are investigating a reckless handling of a firearm incident that occurred Tuesday evening in a Woodbridge neighborhood.
At approximately 7:12PM, officers responded to the area of Montega Drive and Lashmere Court for reports of shots fired. The investigation determined that an unknown man exited an older model, dark-colored sedan and fired a handgun multiple times toward a nearby pond.
After discharging the weapon, the suspect returned to his vehicle and fled the area. No injuries or property damage were reported. Officers recovered multiple shell casings at the scene.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens.
