A Woodbridge woman is facing multiple charges after a crash investigation led to an assault on a police officer.
Officers responded to the intersection of Rippon Boulevard and Blackburn Road around 3:15 p.m. on March 9 to investigate a crash involving a vehicle that had struck a street sign before leaving the scene.
Police later located the vehicle and identified the driver as Sarah Elizabeth Huff, 36, of Woodbridge. Officers determined the driver was intoxicated. A young child was also found in the vehicle unrestrained, though the child was not injured.

Huff was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, child endangerment, hit and run, and driving under the influence. Her court date is pending.
