Two Hospitalized After Domestic Stabbing on Carlton Drive

Police say they were called to the 8600 block just after 5 a.m. on March 19. When officers arrived, they found the person who made the 911 call suffering from critical injuries to the abdomen. Officers immediately began first aid while securing the scene.

Inside the home, they found a second person with a leg injury. That individual was also treated on-site before both were taken to nearby hospitals.

Investigators are calling this an isolated incident, stressing there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Still, the timing and location are unsettling for neighbors in this part of Prince William County, where early mornings are usually quiet and uneventful. Carlton Drive sits within a residential area where most activity at that hour is limited to commuters starting their day.

Police have not released details about what led to the stabbing or the relationship between the two individuals involved. As of now, no additional information is being shared.

“This is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the community,” police said in a statement. “This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.”

For now, investigators continue working to piece together what happened inside that home before sunrise.
