A significant development has been made in connection to the bank robbery at Capital One in Gainesville earlier this month. Detectives charged two suspects following the April 1 incident where a man jumped the counter and demanded money before fleeing in a white sedan.
One suspect, Paul Peter Gerardi Jr., 40, of Leesburg, was taken into custody by Fairfax County Police on April 14. He faces charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Authorities noted additional charges were obtained by multiple jurisdictions.
The second suspect, Josiah Jor-El Jackman, 39, of Hamilton, was found deceased by Loudoun County deputies during an attempted warrant service. He had also been charged in connection with the robbery.
