A Woodbridge man has been charged following a brandishing investigation involving what police later determined was a pellet air gun.
Authorities said the victim, a 23-year-old man, was driving on Old Bridge Lane when an individual standing on a porch made an offensive gesture toward him. A short time later, the victim drove past the residence again when the suspect allegedly pointed a weapon in his direction.
Police later determined the weapon was a pellet air gun. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
Following the investigation, officers charged Marcelo Eduardo Merino, 60, of Woodbridge, with brandishing. He was released on a court summons pending a future hearing.
