A suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old Gainesville man has been taken into custody following a multi-agency effort.
Thomas Lynwood Brown, 23, of Triangle, was arrested on August 2 by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force at a location on Westfields Boulevard in Centreville. Brown is charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The charges stem from a July 27 domestic altercation at an apartment in the 13400 block of Grayson Hill Circle where police say Brown shot a family member in the upper body before fleeing. The victim died at the scene. Brown is being held pending further court proceedings.
