A Dumfries homeowner made a surprising discovery after finding a bullet hole inside a bedroom wall.
Police said the damage was discovered while the homeowner was moving furniture. No reports of gunfire had been received in the neighborhood overnight, and investigators found no reports of injuries or additional property damage.
Detectives believe the damage may be connected to a shots-fired incident reported on nearby Isle Royale Terrace on July 6. The investigation remains ongoing.
