Prince William County police are investigating an attempted residential burglary after a man reportedly tried to force his way into a home on Wood Street in Woodbridge.
Officers responded to a residence in the 13500 block of Wood Street on October 3 to investigate an attempted break-in that reportedly occurred at approximately 2 p.m. that afternoon.
According to investigators, an unidentified man attempted to force open the home’s front door but was unsuccessful.
The man subsequently left the area in a red sedan.
Police confirmed that the individual did not gain entry into the residence and that no items were reported missing.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a medium build who was wearing jeans and a T-shirt.
