Gainesville, VA – Authorities are investigating the death of an 81-year-old man who was found unresponsive on a sidewalk in Gainesville.
On February 9 at 1:38 AM, police responded to the area of Basket Ring Ct. near Derby Run Way following reports of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, officers discovered the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the man was walking his dog when he suddenly collapsed, potentially due to a medical emergency. Police have confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
