A domestic incident at the Woodbridge Station Apartments escalated into violence when Jose Maria Perez, 46, allegedly assaulted a family member and a child. According to police, Perez pushed a 34-year-old woman and grabbed her by the neck before pushing an 8-year-old boy who tried to intervene. The accused fled before police arrived. Non-life threatening injuries were reported. Perez was arrested on May 11 and charged with one count of strangulation and two counts of domestic assault and battery.
