A disturbing animal cruelty case led to the seizure of 23 cats from a home in Manassas. Svetlana Mironva Caulfield, 51, was arrested after authorities found cats living in unsafe conditions and receiving improper medication. One kitten was in such poor health it was euthanized. The other 22 cats have since recovered and were adopted. Caulfield faces one felony and five misdemeanor charges related to animal cruelty.
