Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a 34-year-old Alexandria man in the parking lot of Potomac Mills in Woodbridge.
Investigators say the suspect, Clifton Joseph Douglas, 25, of Chesterfield, arrived at the shopping center with another man, Beau Wade Bishop, 28, of Woodbridge, to meet the victim on February 24. During the meeting, Douglas reportedly entered the victim’s vehicle where an altercation occurred. The victim was then shot during the confrontation.
After the shooting, Douglas left the scene with Bishop in their vehicle. Officers later located the vehicle outside Bishop’s home in Woodbridge and arrested him on February 27.

Douglas is charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and is being held without bond. Bishop is charged with accessory after the fact and concealing or compounding offenses and is also being held without bond.
