A Woodbridge man has been arrested following a disturbing hit-and-run incident that left a 59-year-old victim injured in a convenience store parking lot.
The incident occurred on February 15 at a 7-Eleven, where the victim was struck by a white sedan. According to investigators, the driver initially hit the victim, then circled back and struck him a second time when the victim approached the vehicle.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
Following the investigation, 29-year-old Demarcus Byrdsong of Woodbridge was arrested on March 23 and charged with malicious wounding and two counts of hit-and-run.
