Police are investigating a mysterious death after a body was discovered in a vehicle that had been towed from a Woodbridge business park. The car, originally removed by a private tow company on or around November 3, ended up at a tow lot in Fairfax County. On November 18, employees at the Fairfax location found a deceased man inside the back seat floorboard.
Preliminary findings suggest the deceased is a 49-year-old man previously reported missing from Prince William County on November 1. No foul play was initially suspected at the time of the missing person report, and the man was not considered endangered.
Prince William County police are conducting a full investigation, and the body has been sent to the medical examiner for identity confirmation and to determine the cause of death. Early indications show no sign of foul play or community threat.
