A 1-year-old girl suffered minor injuries during a domestic dispute at the Somerset Pointe Apartments in Gainesville. During a verbal argument between two adult family members, Dejahne Laniya Delaney, 28, allegedly threw a phone that struck the toddler, who was being held at the time. The child was treated at a local hospital. Delaney fled the scene before officers arrived, but she was arrested the following day. She faces charges of felony child abuse and domestic assault & battery. Her court date is pending and bond was denied.
