A tragic crash claimed the life of 28-year-old Austin Matthew Dungan of Bealeton. Police say 18-year-old Luke Alexander Altman of Fairfax was driving a 2012 Mazda 5 and failed to yield while turning left, cutting into the path of Dungan’s motorcycle. The impact sent the motorcycle into an oncoming Jeep Wrangler, resulting in a head-on collision. Dungan died from his injuries at a nearby hospital. The Jeep’s driver, a 43-year-old woman, and her 15-year-old passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Altman faces a reckless driving charge and was released on a summons.
