A call about a possible armed altercation shut down part of Manassas Drive Monday morning, but when officers arrived, the people involved were already gone.
Manassas Park Police say they got the 911 call at 10:52 a.m. on October 20, reporting two men arguing — and possibly fighting — near 344 Manassas Drive. One of them may have been armed, the caller said.
Given the nature of the call, ten officers responded, arriving on scene within three minutes. Police temporarily closed off Manassas Drive for about 20 minutes as they worked to secure the area.
But by the time officers got there, the two men were gone. Officers weren’t able to confirm if there had actually been a weapon involved.
Police are still asking for help from anyone who may have seen what happened. If you have information, you’re asked to call the Manassas Park Police Department at 703-361-1136.
