A Gainesville man was arrested following a violent domestic dispute at the Somerset Pointe Apartments on Soapstone Drive.
According to police, Brady Taylor Kreilser, 25, got into an argument with a 55-year-old woman, which escalated into physical violence. Kreilser allegedly threw the victim to the ground and forcibly took her phone when she attempted to call for help. When she tried to flee to a neighbor’s apartment, he reportedly grabbed her again and pulled her back inside. A neighbor intervened and called 911.
By the time officers arrived, Kreilser had already fled. A K-9 search was unsuccessful in locating him, but authorities later arrested him on March 4.
Kreilser has been charged with abduction, domestic assault & battery, and preventing the summoning of emergency services. His court date is pending, and his bond status is currently unavailable.
