Police said two men were sitting inside a parked vehicle when one of the occupants exited, displayed a firearm, and fired multiple shots toward the vehicle as it attempted to leave. During the incident, the driver struck several parked vehicles and then attempted to flee on foot before officers took him into custody.
No injuries were reported, although several vehicles sustained damage from both the gunfire and the crash. Investigators are still working to identify the suspected shooter, who fled the area on foot.
Police arrested 27-year-old Hakeem Sayeed Koroma of Triangle and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon, second offense, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, three counts of hit and run, and reckless driving. He was held without bond.
