An illegal gambling operation was discovered at The Washing Company in Manassas after officers investigating an unrelated incident noticed a false wall leading to a hidden room with slot machines. Inside, detectives found 30 machines and cash. Surveillance equipment linked the laundromat to the hidden room. Arrested in connection were Nasir Jafri, 50, of Chantilly; Joel Enrique Rivera-Rivera, 46, of Bristow; and Giovanni Alfredo Recalde, 38, of Reston. Each is charged with operating an illegal gambling enterprise and possessing illegal gambling devices.
