Authorities are investigating the death of a 59-year-old female inmate who passed away while receiving medical care. The woman had been in custody at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center since August 18. She was taken to a local hospital on August 25 due to pain related to a possible medical condition.
Despite medical efforts, her condition worsened, and she died on August 27. Investigators believe the death was medical-related and not due to foul play. An autopsy will be conducted at the Medical Examiner’s Office.
