A 27-year-old Manassas man was arrested after police said he retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and brandished it toward multiple people inside the El Tio Restaurant in Gainesville.
Prince William County police responded to the restaurant at 7527 Linton Hall Road on August 7 to investigate a reported brandishing.
Investigators determined that at approximately 10:11 p.m., a restaurant patron, later identified as Robert Patrick Block Jr., was intoxicated and became involved in a verbal argument with another patron.
During the encounter, Block allegedly went to his vehicle, retrieved a firearm and brandished it toward multiple people inside the restaurant before driving away.
Police quickly located the vehicle and detained Block without incident. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
Block was charged with five counts of brandishing, one count of driving under the influence and one count of refusal of a blood or breath test.
His court date was pending, and his status was listed as a $5,000 secured bond.
