Police arrested Severn William Alan Jackson, 42, of Triangle, after he allegedly shoplifted from Barnes & Noble and then resisted officers during arrest. Jackson fled the scene and was later located in a nearby parking garage. He was also connected to three prior shoplifting incidents at the same location between December 2025 and January 2026. He faces charges of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and four counts of petit larceny. Jackson is being held without bond.
