A 31-year-old Fairfax man was arrested after police said a firearm was brandished at an employee during an incident at a Shell service station on Dale Boulevard in Woodbridge.
Prince William County police responded to the Shell station at 4110 Dale Blvd at 2:08 p.m. on August 3 to investigate a reported brandishing.
Police said an unknown woman entered the business, concealed several items and then left the store. She walked to a vehicle occupied by a man later identified by police as Justin Denzel Gore.
An employee followed the woman to the vehicle and was retrieving the merchandise when Gore allegedly brandished a firearm toward the employee, according to police. The employee returned to the business and contacted authorities while the vehicle left the area.
Investigators identified Gore and obtained arrest warrants. On August 4, officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle near Prince William Parkway and Minnieville Road, where Gore was detained without incident.
Police reported finding ammunition and evidence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
Gore was arrested and charged with one count of brandishing a firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, two counts of driving on a revoked license and one count of possession of a Schedule I or II narcotic.
His court date was pending, and he was being held without bond.
