Manassas Park Police arrested a Maryland man Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly fired a gun during an argument.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Colburn Drive just after 12:30 p.m. on July 16 following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found two people standing outside a vehicle.
Investigators say 23-year-old Jair Rojas, of Maryland, got into an argument with the other person and fired a single shot into the ground. Police recovered both the handgun and a spent shell casing at the scene.
Rojas was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, discharging a firearm within city limits, and brandishing a firearm. He is being held at the Prince William Adult Detention Center on a $2,000 bond.
No injuries were reported.
