An argument over parking escalated into a frightening situation in a Manassas neighborhood when a man allegedly brandished a firearm at a family.
Police responded to the 7700 block of Woodstock Court on March 21 after receiving a report of a disorderly situation involving a weapon. The investigation revealed that a dispute broke out between a couple and their neighbor over a vehicle parked in front of the neighbor’s home.
During the argument, the accused reportedly displayed a firearm toward the couple and their 14-year-old son. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Authorities arrested 66-year-old Tuan Kies Mattes of Manassas, who now faces three counts of brandishing a firearm. The investigation into the incident has concluded.
