A 45-year-old Manassas man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly kicking a police officer during a domestic dispute investigation in the 8000 block of Centreville Road.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, officers responded to the residence around 8:20 p.m. on February 10 to investigate a reported domestic dispute .
When officers arrived, they learned that one of the individuals involved—later identified as Jason Edward Egan—was intoxicated and had left the area before police reached the home. A short time later, officers located and detained him.
While being placed into a police cruiser, Egan reportedly became agitated and kicked one of the officers. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Jason Edward Egan, 45, of Manassas, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and public intoxication. He is being held on a $1,500 unsecured bond, with a court date pending .
