A woman was found unresponsive Saturday evening in a quiet Manassas Park neighborhood, prompting a death investigation by local authorities.
Just before 6 p.m. on September 1st, Manassas Park Police received a 911 call about an unresponsive woman near the intersection of Creek View Terrace and Locust Terrace. First responders from both the police department and Fire & Rescue arrived quickly and began life-saving efforts at the scene.
Despite their attempts, the woman was pronounced dead.
So far, investigators say there’s no evidence of foul play. The case has now been handed over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, who will determine the cause and manner of death.
Police are not releasing the woman’s identity until her next of kin has been notified.
This part of Manassas Park, made up of townhomes and single-family residences, is typically quiet. Neighbors watched from a distance Saturday evening as emergency vehicles lined the block and the area was taped off for several hours.
