Manassas Park Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a blue Lamborghini that officers say fled a traffic stop at more than 100 mph earlier this month.

According to the Manassas Park Police Department, Sgt. B. Pellath attempted to stop the Lamborghini for reckless driving at approximately 1:32 a.m. on Sept. 11.

Police said the driver refused to stop and fled from officers, reaching speeds exceeding 100 mph.

Officers briefly pursued the Lamborghini but terminated the pursuit after losing sight of the vehicle, according to police.

Investigators now believe the Lamborghini may have been a rental car. Police are trying to identify the driver and determine where the vehicle was before, during or after the incident.

The department is asking anyone who saw the blue Lamborghini in or around Manassas Park on Sept. 11, knows who was driving it, or has information about a rental agency associated with the vehicle to contact investigators.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Manassas Park Police Department at 703-361-1136.
