An investigation by Prince William County Police concluded with a charge filed against a teacher at Rippon Middle School for allegedly assaulting a student. The incident, which occurred in a hallway on December 17, involved Delia Pruitte, 37, of Triangle, reportedly removing her shoe and throwing it at an 11-year-old male student, striking him in the hand. Minor injuries were reported at the time.
Following the investigation, Delia Pruitte was charged with assault and battery. She was released on a court summons pending her court date.
